random quote on randomness

Well this is my first random post, although it could be argued that my choice of topic is not *that* random it will have to do.

I put "random" into Google and the very first search result was www.random.org which contains a lot of information about math and one quote on randomness, from Don Cherry -- Don Cherry on a math site? Very random. Here's the quote.

"It is impossible to predict the unpredictable." -Don Cherry

Then it occurred to me that starting with the first result was also fairly predictable (not too random at all really) so I went back to the Google search and looked at the 4 post on the 12 page. Much more random.

Page 12, link 4 goes to the land of Mythran a strange looking RPG. Random indeed.

I think that's enough randomness for now. Time to do something really predictable. Like making tea.

Randomness Rules! - Oh, I guess there are no rules for randomness ; )

Apparently this is a space for randomness, so be it.

"So you see," said Mazer, "you already know all there was to see."
"Why did it happen?"
"Nobody knows, I have my personal opinions. But there are plenty of scientists who tell me I'm less than qualified to have opinions."

There you have it, a random, yet quirky, quote from a sci-fi book I really enjoyed!
(If you need to read the whole book you'll have to comment here and then I'll let you know. Unless, of course, you are a bibliophile and recognize the name of the character. I'd be very impressed.)

Secretary

I am now the official secretary of TCOOR so I answer all of your technical random questions, which you can leave as comments.
